ABOUT C Family MEDIA

Empowering Children Through Literacy and Emotional Intelligence
Welcome to C Family Media, a veteran-led multimedia firm dedicated to providing parents, educators, and librarians with high-quality literature that bridges the gap between entertainment and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). We believe that every child’s journey toward emotional literacy starts with a great story.
Our Mission
Our mission is to build foundations for emotional resilience in the next generation. Through our flagship series, "Storytime with Pop-Pop," we provide a safe, multi-generational lens for children to explore "big feelings," navigate impulsive choices, and understand the importance of family bonds.
Meet the Founder: Randolph Cuthbert
Author, Psychology Scholar, & U.S. Army Veteran
The heart of C Family Media is rooted in the unique expertise of its founder, Randolph Cuthbert. Randolph brings a powerful perspective to children’s publishing, combining the discipline of his military service with deep academic insight.
As a U.S. Army Veteran and a Psychology Scholar at South University, Randolph intentionally integrates clinical SEL competencies into the narrative arc of every book. By viewing the world through the eyes of "Pop-Pop," he helps children build the "Big Five" CASEL skills:
- Self-Awareness: Identifying emotions and internal "warning signs".
- Self-Management: Developing impulse control and emotional regulation.
- Social Awareness: Building empathy and understanding others' perspectives.
- Relationship Skills: Promoting clear communication and healthy conflict resolution.
- Responsible Decision-Making: Learning to make safe, constructive choices.
